Android smartphones have unnecessary system applications. You can safely delete them if you are not using them. Also, you yourself install various programs that over time you no longer need. Standard or system apps are programs that were originally installed when you bought your phone. These tools most often cannot be removed using the usual methods, and uninstalling them will save space for new games and programs. You should carefully remove programs such as the launcher, maps, mail, YouTube and others. This can disrupt the functionality of the system. For example, if you uninstall the standard browser and do not install a new one, you will not be able to access the Internet - the OS will generate an error.

Before uninstalling the application, make sure it doesn't damage the system. Read the uninstallation tips to avoid errors, or you can simply deactivate the app. This will allow you to check if the software is important and how the smartphone will work after removing it.

Remove standard programs from your phone and Android tablet can be done in different ways - using third-party utilities or standard tools. In almost all cases, you will need to obtain Root rights. These are administrator privileges that allow you to work with firmware files. The methods for obtaining root rights differ for different models smartphones and Android OS versions. Most often, you can get the rights through the KingRoot application.

It also happens that users download programs that are not compatible with the device, so such files simply do not start. How do I uninstall user-installed apps? There are several simple methods that help uninstall unnecessary software.

Removal via file manager

You can erase unnecessary and boring programs installed by you from memory using the file manager service. The most famous standard tool this type is “ES Explorer”. In most cases, you do not need to download it - the program is installed in the base firmware of the Android device. To remove third-party programs, start the service and start doing the following:

  • Open File Explorer and swipe right across the screen.
  • Find the "Tools" section.

  • To remove unnecessary processes associated with remote software, open the / data / data folder.

Note! In Android 5.0 Lollipop, all kinds of system development are scattered in different folders. To delete in this case, you need to open and select files in each of the folders. The file manager is equally effective for standard applications and for those programs that users have installed on their own.

Even if applications on Android are not removed by standard methods, you can always use the help of third-party tools. Of all the above methods, you are sure to find one that works. Before uninstalling applications, take care of backing up, and you can also simply deactivate the game or program to see how the device will work without this software. Before downloading the tools, read the reviews on the forums, and watch thematic videos if necessary.

Manufacturers Android smartphones very often they embed many applications unnecessary for the user into their firmware. These take up space on the system disk and, working in the background, create a load on the device's processor.

Removing built-in apps manually

Alternatively, you can choose not to use Root Uninstaller, but manually uninstall the built-in applications instead. It will be a little more difficult and time-consuming, but it is possible.

To manually remove built-in applications on Android, you will need a file manager that can use ROOT rights. In this tutorial, we will be using ES File Explorer. You can download it absolutely free.

So, after you've downloaded and installed ES File Explorer, you need to configure it. To do this, swipe to the right and open the ES Explorer side menu. Here you need to find and enable the "ROOT Explorer" function.

After that, a window will open asking you to confirm the provision Root is right... In this window, you need to click on the "Ok" button. If this is not done, then ES Explorer will not be able to work normally with root-rights.

After that, once again tap on the "ROOT Explorer" function in the ES Explorer application and hold your finger on the screen until a menu with settings appears. In this menu, select the "Connect as R / W" item.

In the window that opens, select the "RW" option for all folders. Then click on the "Ok" button to save the settings.

This completes the ES Explorer setup, and you can start removing the built-in applications on your Android device. To do this, go to the / system / app folder, which is located on the internal memory of the device. In this folder, you need to delete the APK and ODEX files of the built-in applications that you want to delete. This is done very simply highlight needed APKs and ODEX files and click on the "Delete" button.

If you have Android 5.0 or a newer version of it, then the files in the / system / app folder will not be all in a bunch, but sorted into folders. In this case, we just find the folder desired application and delete it in exactly the same way.

The next step is to uninstall the updates. To do this, go to the / data / app folder, find the necessary ones there APK files(or folders if you have Android 5.0) and delete them.

The final stage on Android is deleting cache files and databases. To do this, open the / data / data folder, find the update folders there and delete these folders.

After that, we reboot the device and enjoy pure Android without unnecessary built-in programs.

  1. Next, select the application you want to disable.
  1. If this program supports shutdown function, you will see the corresponding button. Just click it.
  1. Next, in the pop-up menu, select the item marked in the screenshot.
  1. Programs disabled in this way are not deleted: they simply stop until you start them yourself.

Attention! If you disable the standard software using the described method, the updates that were installed on it will be automatically deleted.

Uninstall System Applications

Next, we move on to using a third-party software... The first application on our list will be "Uninstall System Applications". You can download it in Play Store what we are actually going to do now.

  1. Go to the Android app store and write to search bar the name of the program. As soon as the desired result appears in the search results, click on it.
  1. Install the program by tapping on the button marked in the screenshot.
  1. We allow access to location, work with multimedia, Wi-Fi and other functions.
  1. The download of the program we need will begin. Since its size is small, it doesn't take long.
  1. So, the download is complete, so let's go directly to working with the application.
  1. At the first start, we need to provide the very Root rights that were mentioned in the introductory part of the article. Click the button marked in the screenshot.
  1. A list of all applications will open, including system ones. Check the boxes that you want to delete and press the button marked with the number "2".
  1. We will be warned that we have highlighted applications that are important for the operation of the system. Think three times if you see such a message. In our case, everything is correct, so click "Yes".
  1. The removal process will be completed in a matter of moments.

Ready. The program will disappear from your smartphone at the same moment.

Consider another option, which, if anything, differs from the first, so only appearance... We will also download the program from Play Market.

  1. We begin to write the name of the utility in the search bar of the store from Google and, as soon as our program appears in the search results, we tap on it.
  1. Next, press the familiar green button.
  1. Allow Easy Uninstaller all required permissions.
  1. We are waiting for 5 MB to be downloaded from the network and installed on our Android.
  1. Go to the home screen and see a new shortcut in the form of a trash can. This is what we need.
  1. In the list of programs available for deletion, mark one or more items and press the button marked with the number "2".
  1. Once again we confirm our intentions by clicking on "OK".

That's all. The app or apps will silently disappear so as not to burden our phone anymore.

CCleaner

Here is another one interesting option... Surely, few of you knew that the well-known program for cleaning the disk and phone storage is capable of removing pre-installed applications. However, this is the case. We will show you how it works below.

  1. In the same way as in previous cases, we are looking for an application in the Play Market.
  1. We install it by pressing the familiar button.
  1. We are waiting for the download of all the files necessary for CCleaner to work.
  1. We start our cleaner. Today it will act as an uninstaller.
  1. So, when the program opens, go to its main menu. To do this, press the button with the image of three horizontal stripes (marked in the screenshot below).
  1. In the menu that has slid out from the left side, click on the "Application Manager" item.
  1. A list of installed and system software will open. To start the removal procedure, click the trash can icon.
  1. And again we are warned that if we thoughtlessly "demolish" the standard software, we can easily "kill" our operating system, which, unlike a computer, is not so easy to fix. If you understand this, you can continue. Click the button circled in the picture.
  1. We mark the programs or games to be uninstalled and tap on the "Delete" button (marked with the number "2").

After that, the program, game or their combination will be removed from Android.

Through the file manager

This option for removing unnecessary applications from Android differs from the above. Here we will do everything ourselves, while the previously described uninstaller programs worked in automatic mode. So let's get started.

  1. We will be using one of the best file managers. This is ES Explorer. Let's download it using Google Play.
  1. We press the button with the inscription "Install".
  1. We grant the application all types of access that it needs to work properly.
  1. The program is being downloaded. Since it "weighs" a little more than 10 MB, it will not take much of your time.

The application is installed and ready to work. Next, we will look at how to remove standard programs. Run the tool.

  1. Open the ES File Explorer main menu. We marked it in the picture below.
  1. Now we need to allow our file manager work with the components of the operating system. To do this, enable the "Root Explorer" function using the trigger marked in the screenshot.
  1. Naturally, in this case we need to provide the program with Root-rights.
  1. When access to the firmware files is allowed, we return to main screen ES Explorer and go to the menu.
  1. Next, we need to go to the "Device" directory. This is our file system, and not the file system of the drive, but system disk or firmware.
  1. So, to uninstall the same app, you need to erase files from multiple locations. Let's visit the first one first. Go to the "system" directory.
  1. Then open the "app" folder.
  1. On Android 5 and up, you will see application folders. They contain APK files. In earlier versions of the operating system, they will be located here without directories. One way or another, we need to remove the selected application with or without a folder. To do this, click on the object and hold it until the button marked with the number "2" appears.

We confirm our action by clicking on "OK".

So, we have cleared the first way, we pass to the second.

  1. We return to the root directory of the firmware and go to "data".
  1. Then we open the "app" directory and "demolish" all traces of the unnecessary program here.
  1. Go to "data" again.
  1. Go to the directory marked in the picture below and delete the data of the unnecessary program from here.

That's all. The method is one of the most difficult and dangerous for the OS. We recommend using it only for people who are well versed in the topic.

We are smoothly moving on to another option for removing pre-installed Android applications. This time it will be another utility called Root Uninstaller. Let's consider how to work with it.

  1. In the old fashioned way, go to the Play Store and enter the name of the instrument in the search bar. When the desired object appears in the search results, tap on its icon.
  1. Click the button marked in the screenshot.
  1. We are waiting for the completion of the installation of all the necessary files.
  1. Go to the home screen or menu and select the application you just downloaded.
  1. As in other cases, we need to provide access to the operating system files. Otherwise, nothing will come of it.
  1. When the program opens, we will see a list of all third-party and standard applications, as well as, if any, games. Tap on the one to be deleted.
  1. An additional menu will open with several options.

Designation of the various buttons:

  • Freezing. Application or game is blocked: it does not occupy RAM and do not load the processor. However, the disk space is not released and the program is not removed;
  • Delete. The application is completely removed from Android;
  • Backup. Created backup copy, which, in the event of failures, will help to correct the situation and restore what you deleted;
  • Reset. The software is cleared of all updates and data received during operation.

There are also a number of additional functions that are not particularly important to us.

  1. As soon as we press the delete button, a warning will follow in which we will need to confirm the action taken. In order to do this, click "OK".

Attention! For the safety of data and guarantee the stable operation of the system, before removing each program, be sure to use the toolkit Reserve copy!

From the name of this program, it is clear that it needs superuser permissions to work, although they are required for our entire list. So, let's take a closer look at how to work with Root App Deleter.

  1. The first thing we need to do is download the app to our phone. To do this, we will use the Google Play store. Enter the name of the program in the search field and select the desired result from the search results.
  1. On the home page of the Root App Deleter, click the familiar button labeled “Install”.
  1. The program "weighs" only 700 kilobytes. This is very small, especially when compared to the competition.
  1. So, the list of uninstallers has been supplemented with a red icon, click on it.
  1. There are several tiles in the main menu of our application. We will work with the uninstaller. Click on the item marked in the screenshot.
  1. Next, we will be asked to choose one of the modes for uninstalling programs. It may be a beginner, in which a backup copy of the existing software is automatically created before uninstallation. There is also an expert mode, in which programs are deleted immediately and irrevocably. We choose the algorithm that suits you.
  1. As a result, a list of programs available for removal will appear. We will uninstall the most unnecessary of them. At least in our opinion. Click on the name of the application.
  1. Since this is a beginner mode, there is no delete button, but there is a shutdown. So we can test the system's operation and, if everything goes well, remove the software completely in expert mode.
  1. As in other cases, you cannot do without Ruth-rights. We tap on "Provide".

Ready. The program is disabled and no longer consumes phone resources.

Titanium Backup

The famous backup application is next. Among other things, the tool can remove any software, and if there is SuperUser, even the system one. So let's figure out how to work with it.

  1. So, go to Google Play and look for Titanium Backup there. The main thing is to find the Root version. Otherwise, nothing will work. See screenshot attached below.

Smartphones in the operating room Android system, quickly become cluttered with unnecessary applications that take up not only disk space, but also affect performance and time autonomous work phone. It's time to clean your gadget from unnecessary garbage. In this article, we present five of the most popular applications that almost every user has, but should be removed immediately.

1. Applications for cleaning up disk space

Programs running in the background eat up RAM and dramatically reduce battery life, even when they are in standby mode. The idea of such applications is to automatically "Increase" the disk space of the smartphone. Unfortunately, this is not so.

Thus, these "Memory Economizers", constantly working offline, consume most of the gadget's resources, if you use them, be sure to remove them first.

2. Clean Master

Apps of this kind promise to clean your phone from junk to improve productivity. There is a small grain of truth in this. Indeed, the cleaning wizard removes the old cache from programs or the browser, which makes it possible to improve the performance of the gadget, but it is possible to do this and by standard means... As a rule, to clear the cache, go to the settings and delete the cached data.

In addition, in the stock Android OS, you can clear the cache in individual applications, which allows you to quite flexibly manage unnecessary data. Clean Master and other similar apps often consume a lot of energy, and the ads in these apps are even more annoying. Remove these apps as soon as possible.

3. Antivirus

Do i need to install an antivirus on android? We considered this issue in detail. In order not to go into details, we will say the following: an Android device with installed applications from Google can do everything that antiviruses do. To protect your smartphone from theft, there are standard methods that allow you to control your phone without installing additional applications.

Antivirus programs for Android are useful only for those who frequently download and install APK files outside the Play Market. Antivirus can examine this application during installation, and will warn you before installation takes place. However, it will not protect you and will not cure your smartphone from the virus, The best way- install only third party applications which are verified by many users and have reviews.

4. Screen "Batteries"

Similar to Ram - boosters, "Economizers" of batteries, quite often load the gadget with third-party garbage. These apps offer solutions to one of the most common problems - saving power. There is only one truth in this, as a rule, such applications are delivered under the guise of a "Widget", which, in addition to the load on offline mode does nothing useful.

In order to really increase the battery life, you should separately consider the statistics on battery consumption, and turn off the most power-hungry applications. For such tasks, Wakelock Detector and Disable Service are most suitable. Carefully study which programs "Wake up" the phone using the "Wake up" detector. You should be careful here, because disabling system applications can lead to unforeseen circumstances. Be careful!

5. Pre-installation applications

Many smartphones have a significant number of programs and games that were pre-installed by the manufacturer of the gadget. As a rule, these are questionable office applications, hotel reservations or useless games. Ideally, they simply take up disk space, in the worst case, they affect the battery life of your device.

Which Android apps should be removed? Which ones did you have problems with deleting? We will wait for your reply in the comments below.
