Panasonic RX D55: specifications and reviews. Panasonic RX D55: specifications and reviews Some additional functional characteristics of the model

The trend of miniaturization of mobile handsets is now, apparently, at its apogee. Almost all manufacturers have pipes that will fit into any pocket or purse. Panasonic GD55 belongs to this category. So it will be interesting to know if this device has become less functional with decreasing size than its "big" siblings.

The size of the device is only 77 × 43 × 16.9 millimeters, which puts it on a par with such "babies" as Siemens CL50, Sony ericsson T600 and VK Mobile VG107. The phone will easily fit into any pocket of trousers or jacket. We can say that the size of the GD55 has already come close to the border, after which it will be difficult for a person with a medium-sized palm to use the phone. The device weighs only 65 grams. There are three different body colors: silver, pink and red (although now only the first option can be found on the shelves).

User interface and display... The 112x64 pixel monochrome display used in the GD55 is capable of displaying up to 4 lines. It leaves a very pleasant impression thanks to its width and very nice blue backlighting (by the way, the keyboard is backlit in the same color). When showing the main screen, the top line of the display is used to display information about the reception level and the battery charge. The bottom line is normally used to display soft-key signatures.

The phone's menu system resembles most of the menus found in other Panasonic GD-series phones, though the navigation is two-way (up and down only).

To speed up access to frequently used functions, their "shortcuts" can be "glued" to the keyboard keys, and then you won't have to go into the menu, but just press the required key.

Standard information displayed on the phone (network name, date and time) can be replaced with one of the pictures available on the phone. Despite the fact that the display is not color, it will give the phone at least some personality.

Connection. Like all Panasonic phones, the GD55 is equipped with a hands-free headset jack. The sound quality is good, the sound is quite loud both during playback through the hands-free headset and during normal conversation. The signal sensitivity is satisfactory. The microphone of the phone is very sensitive, you can talk, even while on short distance from the phone.

Transfer of messages. This is not to say that it is absolutely impossible to write a message on this phone, but some difficulties may arise with getting used to the small keys, which are located at a very small distance from each other and just slightly protrude above the body of the device. It is best to use only your fingertips when typing.

The T9 predictive messaging system used in this phone, is the most common of these systems and does not need any special comments. The only thing is that the manufacturers say that they have slightly changed the algorithm for the operation of this system and advise everyone, even those previously familiar with it, to read the manual for its use again.

Two types of messages are supported: SMS and EMS. The length of the message sent is limited to 160 characters. EMS messages can be used to send formatted text, as well as static images and animations.

Keyboard. The keys on the keyboard are so small that you have to press them with your fingertips, and the distance between the buttons is less than on the keypad of the average phone, so when speed dial there is a danger of making a mistake and hitting the wrong key.

In addition, there are some other kinds of problems with the keyboard. If the interval between keystrokes is too small, the keyboard may not perceive the pressing of one of the buttons. This may appear, for example, when typing SMS.

Another feature is that pressing a key triggers a beep regardless of whether the Keyboard Lock is on or not. This looks rather odd.

Battery. The phone package includes lithium ion battery with a capacity of 720 mAh. According to the manufacturer, the phone works up to 230 hours in standby mode and up to 7-9 hours in talk time. In practice, the phone's talk time is a little more than 4 hours, and in case of not very intensive use, the battery does not need to be recharged for 3-4 days. These figures are very good and only commendable.

Sound. The melodies in the device, despite its size, are very loud, which, frankly, surprised us a lot. You can use 30 preset melodies and sound signals. You can also compose melodies yourself using the built-in Melody Composer program. In total, the phone allows you to have up to 5 custom melodies.

Organizer. The phone book of the device allows recording up to 250 numbers. You can use both the phone memory and the SIM card at the same time. The phonebook supports all standard functions such as number selection when sending messages, retrieving and storing the message sender's number in the phonebook, displaying the caller's number or name as the message header. The division of subscribers into groups is supported. There is also a calculator, a currency converter, an organizer, a calendar, and a time / cost meter.

Conclusion. The main strength of the GD55 is undoubtedly its size. Despite its small size, the phone has a fairly comfortable keypad and a fairly large display. Functionally, the phone is also quite well equipped. But when working with it, some problems arose that did not give the phone an “excellent” mark. This is the lack of normal synchronization with the PC, and problems with the keyboard, and unnecessary sounding of keys in Lock mode.

When thinking about alternatives, remember that they do not have any major advantages over the GD55. Sony Ericsson is only good for its lack of external antenna, good games and the fact that it is Sony Ericsson.

In the age of digital media, all kinds of CDs, the Internet and all kinds of gadgets, analog media have faded into the background. But they did not die completely. There are also those who appreciate the "warm, tube" analog sound. Vivid proof of this is the return to fashion of vinyl turntables, which now cost a lot of money. But what about cassettes? Of course, the sound on these media is not as good as on vinyl, but they also have their fans. Together with the era of cassettes, multifunctional devices for their playback (tape recorders and decks) have sunk into oblivion. However, there are some signs that cassettes will be back soon. Proof of this is the release of the Panasonic RX-D55 radio tape recorder. And this is in 2014! Let's consider this universal device in more detail.

A little about the company

This company was founded back in 1919. True, then it was called differently. But this does not in the least detract from her venerable age. Throughout its history, the manufacturer was engaged in the production of specialized production equipment, all kinds of electronics (including consumer electronics), the production of mobile phones, cameras, players and the production of many other goods. The ones made in Japan were especially appreciated. Then the label of this company was considered synonymous with the highest quality products. And now nothing has changed. The proof of this is the Panasonuc RX-D55 magnetotl. But more on that later.

Around the eighties of the last century, the company mastered the production of multifunctional sound "combines", which included a CD player, radio and cassette deck. Such devices have become very popular with potential buyers. Therefore, the company decided to expand the range of products in demand. But many years have passed since then. What made Panasonic release a cassette recorder in our time? Nobody knows that. But the Panasonic RX-D55 EE K has become a real hit. Now let's take a closer look at it.

Contents of delivery

So, Panasonic RX-D55 comes in a colored cardboard box. Inside - all the necessary pieces of paper, the radio itself, the remote control remote control(by the way, rather big), a wire for connecting to the electrical network and batteries so that the clock works. You should not expect more from such a product. This is still not a high-tech gadget, but a kind of "hello from the nineties". Therefore, you will not find anything supernatural in the delivery set. But this is also for the best. Brevity is the soul of wit.

Nevertheless, the presence of batteries and a remote control is incredibly pleasing. There is one more feature in the Panasonic RX-D55 delivery set - the instruction manual is completely in Russian. Although in the case of TM "Panasonic" there is nothing surprising in this. In addition to the instructions, there is also a warranty card. The product has a one-year warranty. This is quite enough for such a device.

Appearance and design

The Panasonic RX-D55 looks like a normal tape recorder from the nineties. The similarity is exacerbated by the presence of a cassette deck on the top panel. There are several color options: black and silver. Which one is better and more practical is for the buyer to choose. But both options are made of durable high quality plastic. The front panel houses the LCD display, CD tray, control buttons and all the necessary ports. This arrangement of the CD player is very convenient as it eliminates the possibility of damage to the disc.

The rear panel of the Panasonic RX-D55 has a battery compartment, a headphone jack and all kinds of ventilation grilles. The power cord also plugs into the back. The advantage of this radio is also its weight. This immediately suggests that we have a high-quality and solid product. However, the design is a bit archaic. In any case, in 2017 it looks like a blatant anachronism. But the main thing is not the appearance. Much more important to sound. Let's move on to its functions.

Radio functions

So, what features can the Panasonic RX-D55 please us with? We will not touch the characteristics for now. The device includes a cassette player with auto-stop, fast rewind and search for the desired track. It provides playback of any magnetic cassette (even the most overwritten one). Also in the radio there is a radio receiver with memory for 16 stations, operating in the FM-AM bands. Everything would be very nice if there was still RDS support - text information sent by radio stations. The radio also has an alarm function that can be set using the remote control.

Below the LCD is the CD player. It is capable of playing MP3, WAV, WMA, CD-AUDIO formats. Quite a good set for a radio, made in the style of the nineties. But that's not all. Panasonic RX-D55 is equipped with a USB port, which makes it possible to play music from a regular flash drive. Song tags are also supported. And the radio tape recorder can also be used as an amplifier with speakers for a laptop, PC or mobile phone... For this there is a dedicated output on the front panel called the Music Port.

Specifications

Now let's move on to the most interesting - the technical characteristics of the Panasonic RX-D55 radio tape recorder. The speaker design uses ceramic cones to ensure highest quality sounding. And this, judging by the reviews, is really so. The total power of the audio system is 20 watts. It turns out that there are about 10 watts per speaker. A high quality reader from Panasonic is used as the magnetic head of the cassette player. The laser of the CD player is also made by this company.

The radio has two-way speakers with a diameter of 80 millimeters. This provides a fairly high quality sound. Which is pretty good when you think about the cost of this tape recorder. The Panasonic RX-D55 radio tape recorder, reviews of which we will analyze a little later, supports CD-R and CD-RW CDs. DVD support is not provided. And this is good, because otherwise the device would be much heavier and larger. So his absence is only a plus.

Sound quality

So what is the sound of the Panasonic RX-D55? According to the owners, it is simply gorgeous. Especially when playing high-quality, branded CDs. However, in order for the radio tape recorder to "sound", you need to make some manipulations. The radio has a built-in equalizer that must be adjusted to ensure high quality sound. There is also a button for virtual expansion of the stereo base. And it really works! After pressing this key, the sound quality is noticeably evened out. In addition, volume appears.

Thanks to the high-quality ceramic cone speakers, the sound is much better than you might imagine. Even the reproduction of magnetic cassettes is very high quality. Although such a sound is a trademark of Panasonic products. Everyone has known this for a long time, so their products are deservedly popular. Especially if it was collected in Japan. Then there is no price for these devices.

Positive reviews

Studying the reviews left by the owners of these devices helps to understand how the gadget works in real conditions, to find out its strengths and weaknesses and decide whether to buy it at all. As for our hero, many people compose laudatory odes to this device. High quality sound, convenient and understandable settings, multifunctional remote control are noted. Fans of analog sound are delighted with the quality of cassette playback. Also, many are pleased with the price of the device and the opportunity to receive the Panasonic RX-D55 by mail. This makes this device very attractive to many music lovers.

Many users commend the Panasonic RX-D55 for its superior workmanship and overall quality of materials. Everything is adjusted to the nearest millimeter. Nothing creaks anywhere, does not crack and does not fall off. This is a sign of a quality product. Generally, positive feedback there are much more to this device than negative ones. And Panasonic has no other way. However, let's now look at the feedback from the disgruntled. They are. They cannot be absent. So...

Negative reviews

Those who leave dissatisfied comments want something more out of a product like a universal cassette deck. Yes, there are many alternative options, but they are all much more expensive. So let's not look into the teeth of an almost gift horse. From constructive criticism, it should be noted that the cassette receiver does not open in the Panasonic RX-D55. Sometimes. Apparently, a factory defect was caught. It's all about the latches here. You need to physically open it, clean the latches and try again. Also, many lament that the batteries needed to operate from batteries are small, which negatively affects the time. autonomous work... But with other batteries, the device would become many times heavier. The designers thought it would be better this way. These are the main disadvantages of the radio. Otherwise, she's fine.

Conclusion

Universal radio tape recorder Panasonic RX-D55 has the ability to play music from magnetic and USB storage. The device also includes a radio receiver. Based on the ratio "price - quality", this model is the best in the modern market of universal music players... The sound is also a plus.

Grade 4

Advantages: I, as an independent account of Princess Of Music, will write a review about this radio tape recorder, based on personal impressions.
Panasonic RX-D55 has sufficiently high functionality, reads all modern and old media, has a lot of different sound adjustments (built-in equalizer settings and separate Bass, Treble), music port.
The built-in EQ settings Heavy, Soft, Vokal, Clear, Off-Eq have very different sounds and are really applicable to different styles of music and personal mood.
It reads tags, but only in the Latin alphabet. It is convenient to use flash drives at the same time, you do not need to remember the name of, for example, 85 albums on a flash drive, the radio tape recorder will write the name (but thoughtful, it will not write it right away, but after 1-2-3 seconds). It can even read tags normally not every musical center.
Shows the names of folders-albums, and when playing at the beginning of the sound, the name of the song, but once, and then only displays its serial number.
It does not crawl when you insert and take out the flash, such a weight already allows it not to crawl.
The cassette and CD drive on my copy are quiet.
The remote control is very convenient, there are buttons for the equalizer, separate Bass and Treble settings.
Cassette deck.
http://fotki.yandex.ru/next/users/princessromantic/album/400007/view/1112461
We still have about 150 cassettes, which no one can throw away.
There is a certain charm in this, to insert an old cassette into a mechanical deck, press a mechanical button, the magnetic tape will spin, music will sound, it's nice to have that opportunity.
Sound control is smooth without sudden jumps, a total of 50 volume levels, you can do it very quietly.
Pretty beautiful and neat, photo:
http://fotki.yandex.ru/next/users/princessromantic/album/400007/view/1112463

Disadvantages: Despite the readable tags (text information), the RX-D55 does not have RDS (text sent by the radio station), the station name does not write, you need to remember at what frequency who is broadcasting.
An 8GB flash drive (Silicon Power UFD ULTIMA II-I) prepares for playing 25-30 seconds, while I have musical centers it is determined almost instantly-inserted and immediately music.
The radio is not the strongest, the Sony CFD-S07CP and Mystery BM-6110U radio receivers have better radio reception.
There are only 16 positions in the memory of radio stations, but she caught so many (with clear sound) out of 31 available ones. It can actually catch everything, it catches much more stations, but there the sound becomes already with interference and hiss at weak stations (I don’t need this) ...
At the stations I left, the sound is very decent and stable, and I caught it in stereo, in mono the reception might be better.
The transparent window on the cassette is a very thick film.
No tape to USB recording, only USB or disc to tape (cannot convert analog signal digitally, but almost no one can).
A headphone jack on the back, but everyone has it.
There are no batteries for the remote control included.

Commentary: Still, for the ease of use, I have 5 stars for the RX-D55, in general, a very thoughtful and convenient radio control, the cover of the cassette buttons (it’s cool to open), the buttons themselves are convenient (compared to Sony CFD-S07CP).
If you press the Sound Virtualizer button, the radio tape recorder noticeably adds treble quality, in stereo and in musicality.
In general, there is no strong bass and super-special crystal-clear high frequencies, despite the presence of ceramic tweeters.
The RX-D55 has the sound of a radio tape recorder, not a music center (or a cheap music center, which, in general, is a radio with speakers).
It can be noted a good musicality, I would even say that it is musical (only with the Sound Virtualizer button pressed).
In general, I don't need more from the radio tape recorder.
***
If we compare with modern radio tape recorders Mystery BM-6110U and Sony CFD-S07CP, for which this Panasonic was bought, then when the Sound Virtualizer button is pressed, the Panasonic RX-D55 is noticeably better in sound, the sound is larger, deeper, wider frequency range, but RX-D55 and 2 times more expensive.
In terms of sound, the Panasonic RX-D55 corresponds to its price - it noticeably surpasses the quality of a radio tape recorder at a price of about 3 thousand, but loses to devices for 8 thousand and more.
Considering functionality, USB, cassette deck, in my opinion the RX-D55 is a pretty good model.

Advantages: I hope that the workmanship will be an undeniable advantage! Specifically: the sound quality is above average, loud and quite clean (with CD and USB), if you put your ear to the speaker and make the sound at 1, you can hear background noise, at a distance from the device it is not critical, about the cassette - it all depends on the quality of the source, there is such a feature as the sound virtualizer - the sound is cool, voluminous, there is a clock - well, you can set an alarm (haven't tried it yet), and there is also station programming, though not enough, only 16, but at least something, the most beloved (optional), heavy by weight, probably a lot of iron, not plastic, quite tolerable navigation, basically all control from the remote control, so the remote control must be protected. Remembers the place of stopping on a USB flash drive.

Disadvantages: Disadvantages: it's 2014! and there is no memory for storing the stop location on the disk! I called Panasonic, they confirmed there - yes, there is no memory, press they say pause, why should I keep it for days? In general, after "stop" the disc starts all over again, and there are more than 100 songs on the MP3 disc. There is no memory - a huge minus! although the batteries are for memory, but they are probably for hours. The receiver is not "super" some stations are not very good at catching, I have a car radio in my car and it catches better! Windows on cassette and display - film!

Commentary: To summarize, we can say the following: the quality of these devices decreases over the years, I still remember the old Sharp number, either 555 or 777, that was a car! which sound! and the receiver is good and it was 30 !!! years ago, alas, progress, if there is, is not in this area ..., but here we have an average radio tape recorder with some significant drawbacks, but if this is not important for someone, then the radio tape recorder is quite acceptable, you can listen, judging by the reviews in on the Internet, it is considered the best in the range of up to 6000 rubles, I wonder what others are? Hope Panasonic will be true to its quality and reliability! To all Enjoy the shopping!

Advantages: Nice balanced sound, good materials, high-quality assembly (Indonesia), discreet but solid appearance (design "Back to the 90s" :)), a convenient control panel, an equalizer with presets and the ability to independently adjust high and low frequencies , the function "Sound around" (Surround), the function of re-mastering (restoration of frequencies for MP3 recordings), there is a USB (read a 32 GB flash drive with an audio collection of 1500 tracks), a cassette tape with Full Autostop (also turns off when rewinding), line-in(you can use the radio tape recorder as an acoustics for a computer or phone), alarm clock.

Disadvantages: So far I have found only one miscalculation by Japanese engineers :) Music port (aka line input) can only be switched on from the remote control. If the batteries run out, it will be unavailable.

Commentary: After a thorough research of the portable audio market, I came to the conclusion: today there are no competitors for this boombox.

Grade 5

Advantages: The radio tape recorder sounds good at an average volume level, then if you raise it above 30 (readings on the display), the bass is cut off, this happens forcibly, regardless of the nature of the music - but the distortions are thus reduced to nothing. The device is strict, looks beautiful, nothing superfluous, no bulbs, no protrusions. Therefore, it is easy to care for the radio tape recorder, to wipe off the dust is a matter of 2 seconds. USB playback starts quite quickly, when you turn off, if you do not remove the flash drive, it remembers the place where it stopped. A 2-way bass reflex speaker system is rather nonsense for this type of device. The only tape recorders which are assembled in Indonesia.

Disadvantages: The power cable is somehow clumsily inserted, with some kind of click. "does not shake" mp3 tracks. Although I may not have figured it out yet.

Commentary: The radio is definitely worth buying!

Grade 5

Advantages: The radio tape recorder, without any doubt, turned out to be very successful.
Compact size and excellent sound quality.
The points:
Excellent high quality, deep sound! Filled with live Bass (with a capital letter). A sufficient number of sound adjustments with preset equalizer controls. And this, despite the very modest dimensions of W40 * H15 * D25 cm, and these are the dimensions of the central channel speaker in HI-FI sets of home theater. Amazingly accurate and very smooth sound volume control, you can set a very quiet sound volume, for example, going to bed and setting the sleep timer will not annoy with loud sound and interfere. At the same time, at a quiet volume, the entire depth of sound does not disappear, which says about quality amplifiers radio tape recorders.
The ability to use the radio tape recorder as a clock radio. Installing a set of batteries saves time when the power is turned off.

Disadvantages: The disadvantages are the absence of VHF, a small LCD display, which is visible only when close enough. All radio control is available only from the remote control and extremely meager control on the radio itself, only the most basic functions. Sleep timer 30-60-90-120 in 15 or 10 minute increments would be better in my opinion. Lack of batteries included. Sufficiently narrow stereo directivity 50-60 °.

Initially, Panasonic did not intend to supply this model to the European market, but later plans changed. In spring, official deliveries will begin to Europe, including Russia. The uniqueness of this phone is that it is the smallest tri-band GSM-standard. However, judge for yourself, the dimensions of the phone are 77 x 43 x 16.9 mm and the weight is 65 grams. The phone sinks in the hand, and it is easy to carry it both in a shirt pocket and in jeans, the dimensions allow it. There are currently three colors available - silver, red and pink. It is still unclear if all three colors will be shipped to Europe, but based on user preference, silver will most likely be the primary color here.

The keypad of the phone is made of matte plastic, the markings on the keys are rather small, nevertheless, they are visible in various conditions. The keys are closely spaced, rather small, but there is no discomfort when working with them. When pressed, the finger sometimes touches the adjacent keys, but there is no discomfort from this. The key travel is relatively tight, you feel every keystroke, which is good when typing blindly. Considering the size of the device, one would expect the keyboard to be inconvenient, fortunately it is not. Under the screen, in addition to soft keys, there is also a vertical navigation key, which is quite comfortable. The backlighting of the keyboard is blue to match the screen.

The screen in the phone is also small, in the standby mode it displays two lines of information (date, time, operator), a line of icons at the top, as well as soft-key signatures. Despite the small physical size of the display in the mode of reading SMS-messages, you see 4 lines of text and signatures for soft keys, this is more than enough. For the sake of fairness, it should be noted that in most menu items, three lines of text and a service line are still displayed. Information on the screen is readable in various conditions, the blue backlight goes out and comes on gradually, it looks nice.

On the bottom end you can see the connector for charger, it differs from those of other Panasonic models. This fact allows us to judge that the GD55 is built on a fundamentally different platform. On the right side surface there is a standard headset connector. There is a strap hole on the top.

On the back surface you can see the speaker hole, next to it you can see the protruding part of the antenna. If you put the phone on a table, the base of the antenna will raise its upper part above the surface, this is done so that the speaker works better in speakerphone mode. We have seen a similar design in previous models from Panasonic.

The battery is at the same time the back of the phone, you need to make a little effort to make it snap into place firmly, until it clicks. Sometimes the battery does not fit into the groove, it seems to you that it has clicked into place, in fact, it is not. The only advice is to take a closer look at how the lid snaps into place initially. This feature does not create any special inconveniences; it is enough to show a little attention.

Battery - 720 mAh Li-Ion. According to the manufacturer, it provides the phone with up to 230 hours of standby time and up to 7 hours of talk time. Tests in a Czech network showed that the device works for 5 days with 55 minutes of talks and minimal use of other functions (only an alarm clock and a few short messages). The indicator for such a small-sized phone is very good, not all devices can boast of such operating time. The time to fully charge the battery is a little less than an hour and a half.

Menu

The menu organization is typical for Panasonic phones... So, in the main menu you see three rows of icons, each item corresponds to a number, however, the same as individual sub-items. Using the number sequences, you can quickly select the desired menu item. The absence of a joystick is not noticed, because when entering the menu, the central icon is highlighted, the keypad is locked, like in old models. From it you can quickly go to any menu item using the navigation key. The menu is organized in such a way that the farthest are items that are rarely used or for them there is a shortcut key from the standby mode. All this allows us to call the menu very thoughtful. In addition, in standby mode, pressing the vertical key brings up the user menu, you yourself can compose it from an arbitrary number of items, just select the ones you need in the list. Looking ahead, I will note that the Russian version of the device has not only a Russified menu, but also a Russian text input (the T9 dictionary for the Russian language is not supported yet).

Phone book... The phone memory can store up to 250 numbers, only one number is recorded per name. In the list of numbers, only one type of memory is displayed at a time, they cannot be combined. For numbers in the phone memory, you can select a group of subscribers (each group is assigned its own ring tone). In addition, you can assign your own ringtones for individual entries (up to 10 numbers). In the list of names, you can search by the first letter of the name.

Posts... There is no room in the phone memory for short messages, only the SIM-card memory is available. Nevertheless, the device has 10 pre-installed message templates, as well as 5 empty slots for them. The phone supports EMS, it has a small set of funny pictures expressing different feelings.

The game... There is only one game in the phone, in it you need to have time to press a key to hit the mouse looking out of the hole, and there are exactly 9. The game quickly becomes boring, it is hard to kill time for it.

Personification... Profiles appeared in the GD55 for the first time for phones from Panasonic, now you can set not only the ring type (sound, only vibration or sound and vibration), but also the operation of the screen backlight, warning tones, etc. Quick call of profiles from standby mode is carried out by long pressing of the left soft-key.

From the same menu you can call the melody editor, it supports up to 4 tracks, in total it is possible to record up to 5 melodies. Finally, this menu hides the setting of the screen contrast, the choice of the screen saver for the standby mode.

Browser... Actually wap-browser, everything works and there is not much to talk about.

Phone menu... The phone menu hides the choice of the range in which the phone can work, unfortunately, there is no automatic selection of the 1900 range, you will need to activate it in roaming from this menu. Other settings here are related to the selection of preferred networks.

Applications... From this menu you can call a calculator, currency converter. Both functions are implemented gracefully and are easy to use.

In the schedule, you can enter 2 types of events, this is an appointment or a memo, in total the phone stores up to 100 entries. There is a view of the events of the day, but there is no view of all the memos, this is inconvenient. The calendar is displayed for a month, while two lines with numbers are visible on the screen, there are displays by week, then for the selected day the first event is shown in the line. In general, the organizer is not very convenient to use, it is rather an additional function that most owners of this model will not use.

Clock. In addition to the time and date settings, you can set a one-time or recurring alarm, as well as specify the time to automatically turn off the phone.

Challenges... The phone stores up to 20 records of dialed numbers and 10 records of received or missed calls. It is curious that the time and date of the call is indicated only for records of received or missed calls, which is somewhat logical. This list can be called up by long pressing the right soft-key from the standby mode.

Impressions

In terms of connection quality, this phone is in no way inferior to its big brothers, it works very well. The speaker volume is such that sometimes you have to turn it down. The presence of a built-in speakerphone is more a tribute to fashion than a real necessity. The implementation of this function is worse in comparison with other devices from Panasonic, since the speaker volume is clearly insufficient. The pluses include 4-tones polyphony, it is pleasant, the melodies are well heard, although at times they seem too shrill. The power of the vibration alert is average, but it is felt, which makes it possible not to miss calls in a noisy environment.

The dimensions of the phone did not affect the ergonomics, the keys are comfortable to use, although the device sinks in the hand, it conveys your voice well to the interlocutor. With a small number of functions, the phone has no noticeable problems with software, everything works as it should. The lack of some advanced features is not an obstacle to its acquisition, since there is a whole class of users who only need the ability to call from the phone. They are also sensitive to outward appearance apparatus, and this baby, of course, attracts the eyes. Apart from the realization of profiles, for the first time a Panasonic phone works for a very long time, 5 days in normal talk mode, which is a lot.

The competitor of this phone is such a device as Sony Ericsson T600, it differs slightly larger screen, slightly larger sizes and slightly larger possibilities. Oddly enough, but personally, after testing this device, I am inclined to conclude that this model was developed by the same people and on the same platform as Siemens CL50. This is evidenced by the similarity of technical characteristics and capabilities, the differences relate not to the hardware, but to the software.
