Review of Huawei Honor Band Zero smartwatch. Almost hours. Review of the Huawei Honor Band fitness tracker Huawei Honor Band how to connect to the phone

Despite the fact that the market for smart bracelets (and wearable electronics in general) is not experiencing better times, Huawei does not stop developing new devices. Another device from the Chinese company - Honor Band 3 - continues the Honor Band line (Honor Band A1 was previously presented in it). Unlike the TalkBand line, these are “classic” fitness bracelets, without a Bluetooth headset function and with low price. However, in terms of functionality they can give a head start to many competitors, even more expensive ones.

If in the sphere smart watch There is a crisis of ideas, then there are no such problems with regard to fitness bracelets: it is clear that it is necessary to increase the capabilities and duration battery life, while keeping the price as low as possible. Apparently, Huawei was guided by precisely these considerations when it released the Honor Band 3 bracelet.

The most interesting thing about this model is the declared battery life: about a month! And this is in the presence of a screen (albeit a small black and white one). We tested the new product in detail in real life, checking the manufacturer’s promises and understanding the quality of implementation of the main functions.

Technical characteristics of Huawei Honor Band 3

Design

The appearance of the bracelet does not evoke any emotions - neither positive nor negative. It is neutral and, in general, uninteresting.

The main part of the bracelet is covered with transparent plastic, under which there is a miniature display, as well as a touch zone with which the device is controlled.

The case itself is made of hard black plastic (and it is black in all bracelet options). The strap halves are attached to the plastic on both sides. Judging by the tiny screws, the strap can be detached, but there is no point in doing so since replacement straps are not available for sale, and the bracelet does not require disassembling to use it.

In addition to the screws, we see on the back side a pulse sensor and contacts for connecting the charging cradle. On the sides of the contacts there are recesses for securing the cradle using “ears”.

Strap - silicone, black (in the version we had; orange and also available blue options), quite thin and soft, with an elegant pattern on the outer surface. However, it is almost impossible to see this pattern from the outside.

There are enough holes in the strap to comfortably attach the bracelet to an adult hand of any thickness. Fastening is carried out using a plastic fastener with two pins.

The screen is non-touch. The only control element is a small circular area under the screen itself (see photo above). By touching it, you can scroll through information on the screen and wake it from sleep mode. In addition, the screen automatically turns on when you suddenly move your hand towards you.

The bracelet sits quite comfortably on your hand, you can sleep in it, play sports and even swim in the pool - Huawei Honor Band 3 is protected from moisture. In general, the design can be assessed positively, provided that we leave the appearance behind the brackets and do not make any aesthetic demands on it. This is a typical workhorse”, created to perform specific tasks, and not to shape the owner’s style.

Screen

At first glance, it seems that the screen of the Huawei Honor Band 3 occupies almost the entire front surface of the bracelet, but this is an illusion: the body of the device is simply covered with transparent plastic. The size of the screen itself is approximately 24 × 6 mm. However, unless you look closely, it is impossible to notice. The software interface uses a black background, so the eye does not see the real boundaries of the screen.

The screen is black and white, and its task is to display the simplest things: time, date, heart rate, battery capacity and Bluetooth icons, information about the distance traveled, calories burned, duration of running and sleep.

For incoming calls, the name of the caller is displayed in a creeping line; for messages, part of the recipient’s name is displayed, and on the following screens, the first words of the message are displayed.

Pairing with a smartphone and settings

To use the device, you need to install the Huawei Wear application. It is presented as in Google Play Store, and in App Store.

Pairing with a smartphone (we used iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone X) goes without problems.

After a successful connection, the application prompts you to initial setup: enter your height, weight, age, specify goals for the number of steps or calories burned per day, allow or prohibit data sharing with Apple Health.

By default, data sharing is disabled, but we recommend enabling it - at least for those settings for which there are no other sources. For example, if you trust your smartphone’s pedometer more, then there is no need to export data on the number of steps from Huawei Wear. But if, for example, you don’t have other gadgets that track sleep phases, then you should move the slider next to the corresponding export option, making it active.

Application interface and functionality

The main screen of the application contains summary information on the main indicators - the number of steps taken and distance, calories lost and lifts. By clicking on any item, you can see the details.

The big advantage of the bracelet is the ability to automatically detect when a person was sleeping. That is, it does not need to be manually transferred to night mode. There is also a smart alarm function. But recording sleep and the number of steps/calories/distance are far from the only functions.

The most important thing is the capabilities of smart watches. In particular, the bracelet vibrates during calls, you see notifications and even the beginning of text messages. However, it is, of course, impossible to see the entire texts of SMS and instant messenger messages. So here you still need to understand what you need more - fitness options and convenience or good screen with full text displayed.

If we talk about fitness options, then another important ability of the device is heart rate measurement, and it is also done automatically, and the statistics are saved. In addition to everyday measurement, there is also recording of heart rate during training, and in the settings you can specify the need for a warning about exceeding the heart rate threshold (by zone).

Since the bracelet is fully waterproof, you can swim in it, but we did not find information about swim results in the Huawei Wear application. And, apparently, there are still no detailed statistics here (unlike the same, for example).

However, in terms of the totality of its capabilities, this is truly one of the most functional fitness bracelets among inexpensive models.

Autonomous operation

The manufacturer promises up to a month of battery life. From the very beginning, this seemed very implausible to us: previously, such indicators could only be boasted by either completely primitive devices, which essentially had nothing except a pedometer, or models with a coin-cell battery. However, although the actual operating time of Huawei Honor Band 3 turned out to be less than a month, we were still pleased with the results.

The bracelet will have to be charged no more than once every two weeks, and this is if you regularly use it to view notifications. It is clear that a monochrome PMOLED screen does not consume as much energy as color LCD displays, but there is still a vibration signal for calls and notifications. So two weeks without recharging is a very, very impressive result.

The stated month apparently assumes that we will use the bracelet in a more economical mode - for example, without regular heart rate measurements. Theoretically, this result may well be achievable.

conclusions

Huawei Honor Band 3 is one of the most functional fitness bracelets on the market. And at a price of less than 3,000 rubles, it has practically no competitors: cheaper Xiaomi bracelets have much less capabilities, and professional Garmin devices are much more expensive.

Perhaps the main quality of Huawei Honor Band 3 is the display of notifications during very long battery life. In addition, you can note heart rate measurement, full moisture protection, a workout mode and a smart alarm clock. The downsides include a nondescript appearance, a not-so-attractive screen, and software that doesn’t fully reveal the capabilities of the device itself. The latter, however, is a fixable thing, so let's hope for updates.

We tested the new Honor fitness bracelet and wrote a review in which we talked about the pros and cons of the gadget.

Characteristics of Honor Band 3

  • Monochrome PMOLED display with a diagonal of 0.91 inches, resolution 128 by 32 pixels.
  • Cortex M4 processor.
  • Bluetooth 4.2.
  • Battery capacity: 100 mAh.
  • Dimensions: 43 x 16.5 x 10.3 mm, weight: 18 grams.
  • Protection from water at a depth of up to 50 meters.
  • Compatibility: Android 4.4 and above, iOS 8.0 and above.

The price of Honor Band 3 on the official website is 2990 rubles.

The gadget is sold in three versions with a blue, black and orange bracelet. In this case, the central part (capsule with the screen) is always made in black. The fitness tracker arrived to us without a box, but with charger, which is attached to the inside of the gadget.

Ergonomics and feel

Honor Band 3 fits comfortably on your hand, you get used to it almost instantly, especially if you have used it before. Looking ahead, we note that today there will be many comparisons of the two fitness trackers - they are similar in many ways and are direct competitors.

Honor Band 3 is a monolithic device, it is difficult to replace the strap (you need to look for a suitable one and unscrew the screws). The weight of the gadget is only 18 grams, as on the Mi Band 2, the strap materials here are almost identical - rubber that is pleasant to the touch with a slight texture.

The device is attached firmly; there are two latches at once. We also note that the bracelet has many holes, so it can be comfortably adjusted to any wrist.

The central capsule is completely black and covered with glass, with a round touch button. Yes, yes, like on a Xiaomi device.

When you press this button, the screens change:

  • time, date, charge percentage;
  • number of steps taken;
  • heart rate measurement;
  • swimming.

To start measuring running and swimming, you need to hold down this button. If you do this on the screen with steps, it will open additional screens with sleep time, kilometers traveled, calories burned and inactivity time. Of course, all this data will be available on the smartphone, but more on that later.

The screen itself is monochrome, its diagonal is 0.91 inches (resolution 128 by 32 pixels). The screen is quite clear, all information is clearly visible, but in terms of brightness it is inferior to Mi Band 2. This is especially noticeable in bright sunlight.

Connecting to a smartphone and Huawei Wear

Connecting a fitness bracelet is carried out in a simple and familiar way - you need to download the Huawei Wear and Health application (also from Huawei), activate Bluetooth and start searching for the device in the application. This procedure is very simple and takes minutes of time.

The main Huawei Wear app displays the name of the connected device, its charge percentage, the number of steps, calories and distance traveled.

In the application, you can configure the fitness tracker at your discretion, for example, enable/disable inactivity notification (the bracelet vibrates when its owner sits without moving for more than an hour) and automatic heart rate monitoring. Activating the latter function will expand the information in the health application, since it will constantly measure the heartbeat, but will also affect the battery life of the gadget.

There is an alarm section in the settings. Here you can set up to 5 alarms, one of which will be “smart”. The principle of operation is simple - the alarm clock begins its mission 5-30 minutes before waking up (we select the time + manually). Moreover, the developers do not say that the fitness bracelet will wake up the user in the light phase of sleep, which will brighten up the gray morning - it is simply a gradual awakening at a clearly specified time.

In the “Manage Notifications” section, notifications are configured for each specific application installed on the smartphone. The bracelet notifies you of this with a slight vibration. It is noteworthy that the gadget’s screen even displays information, for example, from whom the letter came or the call was missed.

We will not describe the remaining settings in detail; they are rather additional and systemic.

Health (Huawei Health)

All data collected by the smart bracelet is stored in the Health application. It presents step statistics (numbers, calories, distance in km). This section stores information by day, week and month, with averages calculated for each period.

The situation is similar with heart rate and sleep - there are convenient and understandable graphs with the necessary information.

There is also a workout mode in the Health app - you can count running, walking and cycling. Depending on the type of sports activity, the program algorithms will calculate information differently. There is no swimming mode here, although it can be activated on the screen of the bracelet itself.

It so happened that before testing Honor Band 3, I spent a year with Xiaomi Mi Band 2. A comparison of two almost interesting competing devices suggested itself.

In terms of structure and ergonomics, they are almost identical. Perhaps the design of the device from Honor looks more stylish, it is not yet so “boring”. At the same time, Xiaomi offers more possibilities for personalization - here you can change straps without any problems (from 60 rubles apiece on AliExpress).

We will separately talk about errors in step measurements. It is difficult to determine what explains the significant discrepancies in the data, but the fact remains. Either the Honor Band 3 exaggerates the steps, or the Mi Mand 2 understates them.

In terms of measuring sleep and heart rate, the data is almost the same, which applies to both gadgets.

Honor Band 3 operating time

As soon as the device arrived for testing, I charged it to 100 percent, immediately connected it to my smartphone and put it on my hand.

The design of the bracelet is laconic. The smooth black aluminum surface acts as a protective frame and surrounds the display glass. The inner surface is made of matte plastic, it does not cause any irritation on the skin. You can hardly feel the Huawei Honor Band Zero on your hand; they are very light, weighing only 40 grams. The watch has a protection class of IP68 and is not afraid of water.

The silicone strap is decorated with a checkered pattern. This textured coating looks much more interesting than the usual plain version; we already see it everywhere. After all, this is what is most often offered in analogues. It feels like they approached the process more creatively. The strap is not replaceable and cannot be replaced with another. Now this is not very cool; the boring design of an accessory cannot be changed over time.

Huawei Honor Band Zero has a square display covered with round glass. If you don't specifically look at the screen, it won't catch your eye; the real shape of the screen is visible only from a certain angle. And it’s just a big black monochromatic surface. But when the backlight turns on, all the data will be in the central part of the screen, and on the sides there will be nothing, empty space.

The bracelet was equipped with a small 1.06-inch monochrome OLED screen with a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels. Few? It is quite enough to display the time, number of steps taken and other simple statistics. During the gloomy winter season there are almost no sunny days, so we won’t talk about the screen’s behavior in the sun. As the experience of using such gadgets shows, there should be no problems.

White numbers on a black background are clearly visible both day and night. The backlight works automatically when you turn your hand with the usual gesture to see what time it is. Although sometimes Huawei Honor Band Zero does not recognize this simple action. I turned my hand, but the screen was still black. Then you can either shake your hand harder or tap the display twice with your finger to wake up the device.

The watch works not only with Android devices, but is also compatible with the iPhone. Will the owner of an iPhone 6s want to hang a Huawei bracelet on his hand when it is on sale? Apple Watch? We think that it is unlikely that he will take such a step of his own free will. However, it is not for us to decide who should go and with what. We take a smartphone and install the Huawei Wear application on it. We will find it either on Google Play or in the App Store, depending on which system you use.

Huawei Honor Band Zero also transmits data to Apple Health, Jawbone Up and MyFitnessPal. So if you already have some kind of bracelet with statistics, you can continue collecting data in one system with a device from Huawei. You don’t have to re-collect the results of your life activity.

For the experiment we used smartphones Apple iPhone 6 Plus, and . There were no connection problems; the devices saw each other and transferred data. Moreover, if you put your smartphone aside and go into another room with the bracelet on your hand, it will vibrate on your hand when it loses connection with the device. This feature helps you keep track of your phone so you don't lose it. What about notifications? If it goes incoming call, then the watch will vibrate on your wrist and show the name of the caller, if it is in the phone book. Or they will simply indicate the number. You need to answer from your smartphone, but you can reset the call from your watch; they are not capable of anything else. They also buzz on the hand when it comes text message. Vibrate when receiving emails e-mail They don’t know how, there’s no need to talk about supporting other applications, the functionality is very limited.

The interface is quite simple, but what else would you expect from such a device. The main screen shows the time, date, Bluetooth icon and battery icon. However, the watch does not show the remaining charge level. To do this, you need to either monitor the readings “by eye” or run the application on your smartphone, there are exact numbers there. Additional settings almost not. There are 4 options with dials to choose from, not a lot, but still better than nothing at all.

The controls are simple: you need to slide your finger up or down on the screen to navigate through the menu. Or move your hand, the gesture helps you navigate through the settings. The watch will show the number of steps, calories burned, sleep time, and if you are in the mood for a run, you can start the workout from the watch screen. Although the display is on the small side, it's easier to turn on the sports mode in the app on your smartphone rather than poking at the small screen.

Using the smartphone app on the watch, we turn on the alarm function. The bracelet monitors dreams, so the wake-up signal may work a little earlier than the set time if the device decides that it is now a phase of light sleep. The bracelet also ensures that you do not sit still during the day. Once an hour he gives a signal and suggests moving.

The iOS program would clearly need to be localized better. For example, here the eye encounters a strange “I equipment”, and the activity options are divided into “walk” and “run”. Feel like a rocket, as they say.

You cannot charge the bracelet using a regular microUSB. To do this, you need a complete docking station. This is a small plastic circle with a contact pad. They put the clock on top and the process began. It takes 1.5 hours to charge, which is a bit too much for a watch with a small 70 mAh battery. They work for about 3-4 days. The usual result, frankly speaking, is that you want to charge your watch less often. On the plus side, we note that charging is standard at least for Huawei devices, in particular the Hauwei Watch is charged using exactly the same one. So if for some reason you suddenly have two Huawei smart wearable devices, this will make life a little easier.

The price of Huawei Honor Band Zero is 5,000 rubles. The screen-based pedometer tells you the time and tracks your sleep, but doesn't give you any tips for improving your fitness. However, many devices on the market are guilty of this.

There is a real boom in wearable devices on the market right now. Some manufacturers experiment with price and case materials, while others focus on functionality. And Huawei is already releasing its third fitness tracker called Honor Band. No function this time wireless headset, but with a very stylish design.

Equipment

Unfortunately, our test copy was without a box. Just like that, it arrived to us directly with a cable, naked. Therefore, unpacking photos and appearance You won’t see the box itself, which we made ourselves.

Instead, I will show photos that I took from my Chinese colleagues from the site ianpo.com.

As you can see, the box is made in the corporate style of the Honor line. Turquoise color, minimalism, simplicity - the Chinese have perfectly sensed the market trend and are successfully exploiting it.

The Honor Band package is simple: in addition to the tracker itself, there is one strap (in our case white), a charging cable with a Micro USB port on one end and a round pad for charging the gadget on the other.

The length of the noodle-shaped wire is approximately 90 cm, so it is enough to neatly hide an unnecessary section of cable somewhere behind a computer or behind a baseboard.

As for me, there is only one thing missing in this whole structure - Velcro on back side round charging. It would be great to glue the “cup holder” from the tracker once and for all to some convenient place and, with a careless movement of your hand, place the gadget on charge each time.

Design

Oh, it's just a song! In my opinion, the Honor Band is the most beautiful wearable device Huawei has ever created.

Moreover, in this regard, the device can compete for a leadership position among all fitness trackers existing on the market.

I made this conclusion for a reason. This statement is based on two points at once: visual beauty and ease of wearing. Let's go over each of them separately.

The basis of the device is a round, dark window enclosed in a rim made of medical metal. The developers claim that the metal frame is processed in a special way within 4 hours. This may indeed be true, but I only know two things for sure: the rim looks great and scratches well.

Whether you like it or not, the pedometer body will periodically cling to some hard objects. It could be a corner of a desk, a rough wall in a district clinic—anything.

Thus, noticeable scratches are inevitable.

The display is actually square. This is only noticeable from a certain angle.

However, in 90% of cases the burning picture looks as if the screen is truly round. It looks great.

  • screen type PMOLED, monochrome
  • diagonal 1.06 inches
  • resolution 128 x 128 pixels

As you understand, the resolution is low and individual pixels are clearly visible. I don't think this is such a critical point. The display is informative and that's the main thing.

Installed on the front side protective glass, however, the technology and manufacturer's brand are not specified. Nevertheless, it resists scratches well, but fingerprints accumulate on it quickly. In other words, there is no oleophobic coating.

Of course, the display is touch-sensitive. He reacts to any of your touches. Recognitions do not always occur correctly. Accuracy is much worse than any modern smartphone with capacitive screen. But the main thing is to touch clearly and carefully. Careless taps are often not recognized at all.

It's a pity that you can't adjust the backlight level. It is only adjusted automatically. The backlight time cannot be increased either.

The default is five seconds, which is extremely short. I had a hard time trying to take photos of the screen when it was on.

On the back there is what looks like a plastic cover, a pad of four copper contacts and a reset button that can only be pressed with a paper clip.

  • tracker dimensions: 38 x 38 x 9.5 mm
  • weight 23 grams

Now about convenience. In any wearable device, an important role is played by a strap for attaching the gadget to your hand. In the case of Honor Band, it is made of soft hypoallergenic material. I really like the external texture of the patterns and how smooth the surface of the bracelet is. Dust and other small debris do not stick to it, as is usually the case with silicone straps.

I really liked the clasp. She looks graceful and stylish. It attaches to your hand and vice versa, and is very easy to remove.

In general, Honor Band is a shining example of how you can make a functional and convenient thing using simple design solutions. This may sound like something out of an infomercial, but I really mean it.

The bracelet cannot be replaced. At least with improvised means and without loss of warranty. We use whatever color we bought. Apparently Huawei has not yet realized that you can make good money from additional accessories. But it turns out that the consumer paid money for the device once and that’s it. No additional income for the manufacturer. There is a lot to learn from Apple. Having purchased an Apple Watch, you next want to purchase replacement straps. They are packaged in such stylish, cool boxes that they are just mi-mi-mi!

Several color variations will go on sale. The case itself will only come in two colors: dark or silver, and the straps will be available in three colors: black, beige and white. The color scheme is very calm and consistent, which once again confirms the style and pleasant design.

I would advise you to look towards beige or black colors. They get dirty much less, and an unpleasant yellow coating may appear on a white bracelet over time.

Fitness tracker hardware capabilities

The gadget runs on an STM32F411 processor, which in turn uses one ARM Cortex-M4 core. Clock frequency does not exceed 100 MHz.

  • RAM up to 128 KB
  • built-in memory 512 KB

In general, this chip is installed in electronic devices of various categories. This could be medical equipment, alarm or climate control systems, or some household appliances that do not require much computing power.

As for our little thing, such information is not very important. No one will run Doom or third party applications to expand the original capabilities of the device. We use what we have.

By the way, we tested a model called Zero-9EC. And in the native Chinese market, a slightly different name is used - Band Zero.

Connection

To control the device, installation is required branded application Huawei Wear. It is available for both Android 4.4 and later and iOS 7 and later. It is possible to connect the device to a smartphone only through it. Otherwise (from the Bluetooth settings) an error will constantly pop up indicating that an allegedly incorrect PIN code has been entered.

Connection to a smartphone (only one) occurs via Bluetooth 4.1.

And this is perhaps the biggest drawback of our tracker. There is no backward compatibility with Bluetooth versions 4.0 or lower. In other words, to successfully configure and operate the Honor Band you will need quite modern phone. In my case, this device turned out to be OnePlus Two. The same Meizu M2 mini did not fit - it could not connect to the bracelet.

The accessory is constantly connected to the smartphone and synchronizes with it at moments known only to a pair of paired devices. It is impossible to regulate this moment, and it is not necessary.

Don't be scared by the screenshots of the program on English language. Russian is supported by default. It’s just that my 1+2 does not have Russian localization, so the application launches with an English interface.

The interface of the tracker itself does not have Russian, but it is completely unnecessary. In the entire menu you can find only a few words in English, the meaning of which each of us has known for a long time. It is still unknown whether domestic localization will be available by the time the device hits the market.

When pairing for the first time, the device immediately found a firmware update and offered to install it on the tracker. True, I never managed to do this. Each time the application gave an error, and the bracelet rebooted.

Functionality

I somehow got into the habit of calling it Honor Band fitness tracker. But the gadget, due to its round shape, is very similar to ordinary ones. wrist watch. And it copes with this function perfectly. In the menu you can choose one of four watch faces. I would like more, of course.

Most of the time the display is turned off, but you can “set fire” to the screen either with an appropriate wrist gesture or with a single tap on its surface. There are no brakes, the animation is very smooth.

By the way, you can also scroll through the menu by waving your hand. Just imagine, in one hand you have a heavy bag of sausage and milk from the store, and a passerby persistently asks the time. What should I do? You'll have to get used to using this trick in advance.

Basically, scrolling through menu items is done by swiping up or down. Swiping right takes you to the watch face or status menu.

Everything is quite intuitive and clear from the first seconds of communicating with the gadget.

Now let’s look at the list of what our pedometer can do:

  • step counting
  • special training mode (running only), which is turned on and off manually
  • sleep duration tracking
  • event notification

There is IP68 moisture protection, in other words, the device can be submerged under water to a depth of 1.5 meters. In general, at the presentation on September 17, it was said that with the tracker you can dive under water to ten meters, but I am inclined to believe more in the official IP68 standard, which does not imply such loads.

All notifications (incoming calls, messages, alarm clocks, etc.) are accompanied by a short vibration signal. The vibration is informative, it is difficult to miss a notification.

Huawei Talkband B1.

As for incoming notifications, the bracelet can only vibrate when calls or SMS are received. At the time of a call, you can mute the sound of an incoming melody on your phone using the wrist screen, but you cannot reject or answer the call using the tracker.

Battery life

It is stated that on one charge the device can work for up to four days. This is true provided that you receive a very small number of notifications and you do not often look at the device screen. During normal use, the gadget will last about three days and this is quite a good indicator.

The battery is fully charged in an hour and a half, and 10 minutes of recharging is enough for a day of battery life.

The capacity of the built-in battery is 70 mAh. If given the choice between increased battery capacity and moderate thickness, I would choose the latter. Still, it is very important that nothing sticks out on your hand, sticks out, or clings to everything, as is the case with this pedometer.

Bottom line

The Honor Band cannot be called an ideal tracker. It has both disadvantages and advantages. The latter would include excellent design, good functionality and ease of wearing.

Unfortunately, in this moment The dampness of the software affects it. The main application on the phone is slow, and sometimes the bracelet does not connect to the device and the update does not install.

I didn’t like the fact that the gadget is equipped with Bluetooth 4.1, which means it is not compatible with most existing smartphones or tablets on the market. Only the latest devices that support the appropriate protocol version can connect to the tracker.

There is no exact information regarding the release of the pedometer for sale yet. At the presentation, which took place in Moscow on September 17, company representatives limited themselves to the blurred 4th quarter of this year. One month has already passed, two remain. One thing is certain - the company will definitely bring the accessory to the market before the end of the year, because the New Year holidays are ahead, and given the relatively affordable price of 4,990 rubles, the device may well qualify as a gift for your loved one.

On sale in the 4th quarter of 2015 Price: 4,990 rubles

The display of the gadget is monochrome, diagonal - or rather, diameter - 1.06 inches, PMOLED 128x128 pixels, and its pixels in icons and numbers are clearly visible. But you can remember the same old Nike FuelBand: the information was displayed using several rows of LEDs, and it was clear. The most important thing is that Honor generally displays data on the screen, and you don’t have to turn on your smartphone every time to see the number of calories burned or steps taken. Screen brightness is adjusted automatically, manual setting absent, but even in bright sun the information is readable.

What can he do?

Thanks to the motion sensor, the watch turns on if you simply raise your hand, but if this gesture does not work, you can activate the screen with a double tap (quick touch). operating system here is proprietary, developed by Huawei. There are a couple of simple dials, data on calories burned, a pedometer, and a timer. There are also primitive settings: the user is only allowed to change the dial theme or reset the gadget to factory settings. Among other things, Honor Band can display notifications about incoming calls and SMS, accompanied by vibration, so you won’t miss anything important. But it is impossible to reject or accept a call using the bracelet; you can only mute the sound on the phone.
