On the basis of the MS-994A chassis, the following models of TVs are available: SA-14 / 20/21 F89W, CA-14 / 20/21 F89X, CF-2O / 21 D79, CF-2O / 21 F39, CF-14/20/21 F69X, CF-14 / 20/21 F89, CF-14 / 20/21 F89W, CF-14 / 20/21 F89X. The main technical characteristics of these models are presented in Table. one.

Design and features of the chassis MS-994A

Constructively, the chassis consists of the main board, the kineskop card, the "Eye" board (see Table 1) and the teletext module. The last two nodes are installed optionally. The chassis management system is built on a microcontroller (MK) of the MITSUBISHI MS37221 type IC01, working paired with a non-volatile memory of IC02 type 24c04. To exchange data between chips and transmit commands, the IC501 MK microcircuits uses the digital interface I 2 C.

A feature of the new chassis is the presence of an interface for a camcorder that allows you to use the TV, in particular, as a monitor of the video surveillance system.

Consider the work of the main chassis nodes and the paths of sound and video signals, as well as the main elements of their processing.

Power Supply

The power supply (BP) generates stabilized voltages +115 (B +), +20 (S-VCC), +14, +12, +9 and +5 V (ST-5V) to power the chassis nodes in working and duty modes. It is built according to the scheme of a quasi-resonance circuit converter on the IC803 chip of the SANKEN str-F6707 type. The IC803 includes: a specifying generator, launching scheme, overload, overvoltage and overheating, as well as a power cascade on a powerful bipolar transistor. The microcircuit is turned on at an output voltage. 4 about 8.5 V, and it turns off at a voltage of 5 V and consumes current in operating mode, equal to 30 mA, and in the duty room - 200 μA. The R809 R810 circuit forms a starting voltage, and Obm. 1-2 T802 and rectifier on the elements D806, C801 - the supply voltage in the operating mode. The output voltages are stabilized by the IC804 IC801 feedback chain, the input of which (out. 11c804) is connected to the B + bus, and the output to the input of the IC803 controller error amplifier input (out. 1). To control the limit current through the power key of the serve (R805), the voltage drop is removed and the output is fed. 11C803 (protection level of about -0.9 ...- 1.2 V). Tract image

A television radio signal from an antenna login enters the TU101 tuner input, which manages the MK (out. 31, 33 IC01) via the I2C interface (out. 4, 5 TU101).   • selection of the brightness signal from CVBS;
  • forming from colorless signals: brightness and basic colors (RGB);
  • switching RGB signals and on-screen menus (OSD), gain them to the level necessary to control output video sellers on the transistors Q901-Q903;
  • selection of synchropulse from CVBS and the formation of strings of the string sweep and sawtooth voltage to control the frame scan;
  • receiving and processing control commands from MK via Interface I 2 C.

On the input of the video processor switch (out. 14-16 IC501), the OSD-R, G, G, B, TXT-R / G / B teletext or external SCART-R / G / B signals can be fed. Teletext module

On the MS-994A chassis, a teletext module can be installed, which is connected through the R701B connectors, P702B. The base of the module is the IC701 microcircuit of the SAA5281 type, which has 8 kx8 RAM to 8 pages of teletext. It is designed to work with the 625-line Standard WST (World System Teletext). In addition, the microcircuit decodes the VPT signals (programming a video recorder). It is controlled by the MK on the I2C interface (out. 24, 25). Strickered and frame scanners

The lowercase scan is constructed along a conventional two-stage diagram (transistors Q401, Q402) with serial power output cascade. Microcontroller

Service mode

As in any modern television receiver needed after the repair or replacement of the elements of the RF tract, the video processor and other nodes on the MS-994A chassis are performed in the service mode. To work in this mode, you must have a remote control with the teletext control buttons. Before performing adjustments, turn on the TV, it is fed to its antenna input "Test Table" and heated for 15 ... 20 minutes.

To enter the service mode, the "OK" buttons on the remote control and on the front panel of the TV, holding them, while the list of adjustable parameters appears on the screen (Fig. 1). The last string "Line SVC 0" shows the menu number, and there are five of them (Line SVC 0-4).

The required parameter is selected by the joystick up-down joysticks, and adjust its value to the "right-left" buttons. To save the new value of the parameter, the "OK" button is pressed. Adjusting RF ARU

This adjustment is required after replacing the tuner, as well as when significant noise (interference) appears in the image.

White balance adjustment

This operation is necessarily performed after adjusting the accelerating voltage.

Adjusting focusing

Typical malfunctions and elimination methods

TV does not turn on, the "POWER" indicator does not shine, lights up the F801 network fuse

Turn off the TV from the network and an ohmmeter check for a short circuit elements of a demagnetization scheme, a network filter, rectifier: TN801, TN802, C806-C810, VD801, T801, RT801, RT802, DB801. If there is no short circuit in these circuits, then an omeme is checked for a short circuit of the power transistor (out. 2 and 3 IC803). TV does not turn on, the "POWER" indicator is not lit, the F801 network fuse is

The "Power" indicator is glowing, the TV is in standby mode and does not switch to the worker

First, check the ON / OFF signal (out. 5 IC01). If the high level signal (i.e., the TV is in standby mode), it mighted the protection of the streaming overload channel B + power supply.

In this case, the ABNORMAL signal to withdraw. 5 IC01 will be active (low). Turn off the TV and determine the cause of the channel overload in +. If the control signal is passive, it is possible that the MK itself is defective or the IC02 memory failed. The chip is overwritten and if the TV is still not turned on, the MK is replaced. No raster and sound, power supply

Perhaps there is no one of the stresses on the kinescope board and the Kinescope itself: HV, USCREEN, UHEATER. 180 V. Check the presence of these stresses, they define the absent and eliminate the cause. If there is no high voltage (there is no characteristic crackle while turning on and off the TV), then, most likely, the reason in the line scanning scheme. Check the presence of start-up pulses. 32 IC501, their admission to a pre-cascade on the Q401 transistor and the operation of the output cascade on the transistor Q402 (the collector should have a positive polarity pulses by a blank of about 1000 V). If the output cascade does not work, turn off the TV from the network and check all its external elements. If the impulses are there, and there is no high voltage - the reason in the string transformer T402.

Raster, sound and image are missing

Initially, the PC and video processor (IC501 chip) is checked. Control the nutrition of the chip (see Table 3). If there is no supply voltage of 5 V (out. 46), check the IC505 stabilizer. If the power is normal, it is fed to the input of the PC tract (output 11 tuner TU101) a test signal of 38 MHz with a level of 65 dB and control the passage of the signal across the path (see Description and ACS. 1, 3-5). Determine and replace faulty items. In the absence of a test generator, a video recorder or a video camera connected to the corresponding inputs can be used as a signal source, but in this case only the video processor is checked.

No color image in SECAM color system

Most likely faulty IC502 chip or its external elements. Set adjustment of saturation to the maximum level position. Check the nutrition of the chip (5 B out. 9 and 18. If there are no voltages - check the stabilizer on the ZD504, R531 elements), the presence of a video signal. 13 and 15 IC502, strovery pulses on an outline. 17, all external capacitors. If the elements are good - replace the chip.

TV works only through the LF

Check the power of the tuner A101 (33 and 5 V). Then is fed to the antenna input of the tuner with the generator the test signal, turn on the auto-tuning mode and check the corresponding control signals on the tuner outputs (see description). If there are signals, and the output signal if (in a scope of 0.25 ... 0.5 V) is missing, the tuner is replaced.

No sound

TV does not react to the commands of the remote control
