If you have mastered Photoshop, then you are no longer a Teapot and you should not read this post. Because Picasa program is a godsend for Dummies: simple, convenient and friendly.

1. I do in this program (see illustration):

- banners - the smallest picture with a self-portrait of my grandson and the name of the collective blog,
- splash pictures for the blog header - the top narrow picture with flowers and the name of the blog,
- collages of any degree of complexity - here is an example:

2. There are countless opportunities to diversify collages in the Picassa program:

- each component photo can be framed,
— each picture can be rotated 360 degrees around its center,
— the size of the pictures can be adjusted during placement on the sheet,
— the sheet itself for the collage in “Picassa” can be positioned both vertically and horizontally,
— the background of the collage can be made white, colored, or you can choose any photo for the background,
— there are six options for the arrangement of pictures in the collage, the choice of sizes of the sides of the square is not limited to 15 options, since you can also specify your own, and so on and so forth.

However, today I want to tell you in detail, how to make inscriptions in collages and pictures using the Picasa program, how to make a “protective” inscription against thieves’ copying . (Please note: this is another way to protect your photos online. About).

3 . Options for placement of inscriptions, There are several that can be applied using the Picasa program: just a horizontal stitch, just a vertical stitch, vertical “letter by letter”, inclined at any degree - that is, transverse.

You can choose the size and several font options; styles - bold and italic, underlined line; alignment to edges or center; letters can be contoured or completely filled with some color.

4. Letter outline width and transparency can be easily changed, and then it will serve you as a subtle protection of your copyright.

How to make such an inscription?

1. Open the Picasa program, double-click on the desired picture,
2. Go to the “basic operations” tab - click on the icon with the letters “ABC-text”,
3. Editor functions open,
4. You can immediately select the style, size, alignment, font and color of the text, and you can later change them if necessary,
5. In the place where you intend to write the words, click the cursor and start typing - you get a special frame - this is the window for entering text; don’t worry if the first letters don’t fall into the right place - hover your mouse over the frame, click on left button and drag all this equipment to the right place.

All preparatory operations have been successfully completed, you have compiled and edited the text. Now it can be made either contoured or slightly transparent, so that it does not catch the eye and does not interfere with decent readers looking at your photographs and drawings.

Outline inscription

To do this, in this editor, on the “Basic Operations” tab, using the “edit text” function, where you are currently, select the letter T and click on the crossed out red square next to it. Get outline letters. You adjust the width of this outline with the slider located on the right - next to the transparent letter T. This is the inscription I most like to sign my collages and my own pictures.

Click on the red square several times to get options for filling the outline with different colors. This can be used to decorate a collage with original inscriptions.

Translucent inscription

You get it by moving the slider along the guide slides labeled “transparency.” By default, it is in the right extreme position, that is, the letters are not transparent. Moving it to the left, stop when the desired degree of transparency is achieved.

Some tips

1. Inscriptions can be made in many places of one picture. Having finished one episode of the inscription, click on the “apply” button on the left of the “control panel” or simply anywhere in the picture, but not inside the editor frame. Then click again in a new location of the new episode of text that you intend to place on this picture. And write again. Here you can edit differently.
2. These labels can be moved and tilted.
3. If you don’t like something, you can click on the finished inscription and the editor frame will appear there again - change whatever you want.
4. Having made your signature inscription once, leave it in the Collages folder, which will appear automatically after completing at least one training collage in the Projects collection, or in some other folder in the Picas program - let it be stored - you can copy and transfer it to any other picture as many times as you like.

How to copy any inscription on a picture that you made yourself

1. Select the picture from which you want to copy the caption with one click.
2. In the top menu, click “Change” and in the drop-down menu activate the “copy text” function.
3. Select the picture you need, where you plan to move the text, open the “Edit” function - “insert text”.
4. The text of the inscription appears in exactly the same place and position as in the first picture. Do not despair. Double-click on the picture and you will be taken back to the editor. In your picture, click the mouse directly on the letters - here you have a frame for entering text. Drag it to the desired location. Or you can even reduce or enlarge the text or edit it in some other way.

It's so simple, effective and easy.
Don't forget that the pictures enlarge when you click so you can see all the details.

Various subtleties and many illustrations can be seen on my blog "Picasa, Gadgets and..." , where you will find some useful articles on collages and lettering.

Always yours ButterflyYanochka
