Manufacturers software strive to make their products as user-friendly as possible. IN new version popular antivirus has become even easier for beginners to understand. The control menu is made as simple as possible; you can intuitively understand which option is responsible for what. Unlike previous modifications, in the ninth it is not necessary to enter a login and password.

The trial version of NOD32 has limitations in the form of a disabled real-time computer protection mode, as well as the inability to update the virus database. In addition, it will only work for 30 days. Therefore, complete security will only be ensured by purchasing an activation key or entering one of the free ones.

How to achieve maximum protection?

Detailed description of nod32 9 activation:

After downloading and installing the program, click on the icon with the blue letter “E” in the system tray, that is, in the lower left corner where the clock is located. A red triangle with an exclamation mark should appear next to it. This is an indicator indicating that the program requires user intervention.

In the menu that appears, click on “ Homepage " Then " Activate full version", if you have a key, or "Buy a license" if you want to purchase a new one.

How to install a key for NOD32 SMART SECURITY 9

The sequence of manipulation is similar to what we described in the first half of the article. After clicking the activation button, you will see a window with a field for inserting or entering numbers and letters of the code. They are freely available on home page this site.

After rebooting the PC, you get full working version Smart Security 9. It is also recommended to immediately update the databases and scan your PC, especially if you did not have an antivirus before. Also check that all security functions are working.

Alternative way getting the key

If problems arise after entering the key available on the site, you can use your login and password. Open the “Help and Support” tab, look at the bottom right for “Change license” and then “I have a username and password...”.

On the site page that opens, enter one of the login and password combinations that you copied from the main page. We do not check the “Resend...” checkbox. We again copy the resulting key to the buffer and paste it into an empty column.

To activate ESET NOD32 we need the following data: Username and Password. They can be obtained by purchasing a license on the official website or by activating trial version.

Please note that on the main page of the site you can always take, the validity of which is 30 days from the date of publication.

The site has a key generator with which you can get a free license for 7 days. One e-mail address can be used multiple times.

By activating the trial version, you get 30 days, so reinstalling the trial version is more profitable than getting a key using a generator.

Instructions:

1. Open ESET antivirus NOD32 by clicking on the icon in the system tray of the Windows taskbar.

2. Press the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl+U", after which a window will open "License Information".

Note: The window will only appear if the antivirus is already activated and you want to renew the license. For the first activation, go to the tabs depending on the version of your antivirus. Doesn't work in version 9.

3. Enter the information you received in the appropriate fields "Username and Password".

4. Click "OK".

5. Congratulations! Your license is activated and your computer is protected from viruses.

6. Select a section "Update" and update the virus signature database to the latest version.

2. Select a section "Help and Support" and click on the button "Product Activation".

3.1. Method No. 1

3.1.1. Go to the main page of our website and copy the 20-digit license key in format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

Note: "Username and Password", which is used to activate versions 4-8, can be converted into a license key and used to activate version 9. To do this, go to the website https://my.eset.com/convert, fill out the fields and receive the generated key.

3.1.2. Paste the key into the special field of the antivirus and click on the button"Activate".

3.2. Method No. 2

3.2.3. Choose a country.

3.2.4. Click on the button "Activate".

4. Activation was successful. Click "Ready".

5. Update the virus signature database. To do this, select a section "Update" and click on the button "Update Now".

1. Open the antivirus window by clicking on the ESET icon in the lower right corner of the screen with the left mouse button.

2. Select a section "Settings" and click on the button "Program activation" or "Not activated".

3. In the window that appears, we have the opportunity to activate ESET NOD32 in two ways:

3.1. Method No. 1

3.1.1. Select an item "Username and Password" and press "Further".

3.1.2. Enter "Username and Password", which were received upon registration. You can also use our trial keys located on the main page of the site.

3.1.3. Click on the button "Activate".

3.2. Method No. 2

3.2.1. Select an item and press "Further".

5. Select a section "Update", click on the button "Update Now"- the virus signature database will be updated to the latest version.

1. Double-click the antivirus icon in the Windows notification area to open the main program window.

2. Go to the section "Settings" and click on the button "Program activation" or "Not activated", if activation is carried out for the first time.

3. In the window that appears, we are asked to select the type of program activation:

3.1. Method No. 1

3.1.1. Select an item "Username and Password" and press "Further" .

3.1.2. Enter "Username and Password" in the appropriate fields.

3.1.3. Click on the button "Activate".

3.2. Method No. 2

3.2.1. Select an item "Activate trial version" and press "Further".

3.2.2. Enter your email address.

3.2.3. Choose a country.

3.2.4. Click on the button "Activate".

4. ESET NOD32 has been successfully activated. Click to finish "Ready".

5. Go to the section "Update" and download the latest virus signature database by clicking the button "Update Now". Now your computer is maximally protected from viruses!

ESS/EAV 6

1. Open the program window by double-clicking the antivirus icon in the Windows taskbar.

2. Go to the section "Settings" and click on the button "Program activation" or "Not activated".

3. There are two ways to activate ESET security software:

3.1. Method No. 1

3.1.1. Select an item "Username and Password" and press "Further".

3.1.2. Enter "Username and Password" in the appropriate fields.

3.1.3. Click on the button "Activate".

3.2. Method No. 2

3.2.1. Select an item "Activate trial version" and press "Further".

3.2.2. Enter your email address.

3.2.3. Choose a country.

3.2.4. Click on the button "Activate".

4. Activation completed. Click "Ready".

5. Go to the section "Update" and press "Update Now" to download the latest virus signature databases.

ESS/EAV 5

1. Open the ESET NOD32 window by clicking the icon in the lower right corner of the screen.

2. Go to the section "Settings" and click on the button "Program activation".

3. In the dialog box that appears, we are asked to select the type of program activation; we will use only two:

3.1. Method No. 1

3.1.1. Select an item "Activation using username and password" and press "Further".

3.1.2. Enter "Username and Password" in the appropriate fields.

3.1.3. Click on the button "Activate".

3.2. Method No. 2

3.2.1. Select an item "Activate trial version" and press "Further".

3.2.2. Enter your email address.

3.2.3. Choose a country.

3.2.4. Click on the button "Activate".

4. The program activation window will automatically close. If you followed the instructions carefully, the program should be activated.

5. To check this, go to the section "Update" and check the activation status of the program. We recommend "Update virus signature database" for maximum protection against viruses.

ESS/EAV 4

1. Double-click on the ESET NOD32 icon in the lower right corner of the screen to open the program window.

2. Go to the section "Update" and press the button "Setting up a username and password"
1. Make sure that opposite the inscription "Download and install Browser with Protect function" checked(without this checkbox you will not be given a key).

2. Press the button "Install trial version".

3. Copy the received key, which can be used to activate the antivirus.

*ESET does not allow activation keys to be posted for software products ESET NOD32 on the Internet. The Activation Key is issued after downloading during installation of the free version.

Why do I need a License Key?

When you have purchased a license for an ESET product, you have received an email from ESET containing your ESET-issued Username and Password. This email is delivered to the email address used at the time of purchase.

ESET introduced a new License Key (previously known as Activation Key) that replaces Username/Password license credentials. Therefore you will need to convert your Username/Password credentials here to activate the latest ESET products.

Are my Username & Password still valid?

You can renew your license with renew discount up to 60 days before it expires, or up to 60 days after. Existing customers with valid licenses can upgrade to the latest version of their ESET product for free. For more details about upgrading to the latest version read the Knowledgebase article.

It has been more than 60 days since your license expired. Your license is not eligible for renewal pricing.

Does this affect the validity of my license?

Replacing Username and Password with License Key will not have any effect on your license. The License key represents a unique string in the format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX which is used for identification of the license owner and for activation of the license as well as the license credentials.
