What is a cloud archive? This is a tool for backing up a database through automatic backup and archiving on remote servers in cloud storage.

Setting up a cloud archive is very simple. First, we need to download the processing from the 1C website. After downloading, we add it to our database via “File” - “Open”. If we add processing to the system for the first time, warning messages will appear, do not be alarmed and respond to them with Approval.

The “1C: Cloud Archive” window will open. And we will be prompted to “Download the agent” or “Specify the path to the agent.” Since the initial installation of the Cloud Archive is taking place, we select “Download Agent”. The 1C website will open, where we will be offered to download the “1C Agent: Cloud Archive” application. After downloading, we begin installing the application. When the installation is completed on the computer, we go back to setting up our cloud archive in 1C. Now we need to “Specify the path to the agent”, after which we will be prompted to enter the login and password for the 1C website. Enter the required data and connect.

A window will open in front of us to configure the “Cloud Archive”.

Let's look at some setup points.

  • On the “Databases” tab, enable backup of the current infobase.
  • On the “Schedule” tab we can more flexibly configure the agent launch schedule for backup.
  • On the “Storage” tab, select the number of copies to be stored on the server.
  • On the “Advanced” tab, enter the login and password for a user with Administrator rights.

After all the changes have been made, close the window. This completes our setup.

I would also like to draw your attention to an important factor! The user should not be in the database at the time the backup starts.

Backup

Perhaps the most common method of storing data is storage on hard drives. However, this method of storing data does not guarantee that the data will not be lost at some point. Hard drives tend to sometimes fail, and so that this does not turn out to be a serious problem for you, we recommend setting up backup.

Backing up a 1C database is creating an additional copy of the database, which will be saved in the event of data loss or damage to your computer. The most common occurrences of data loss on hard drives are:

  • Malfunction of the computer power supply;
  • When the lights are turned off;
  • Due to improper operation of the hard drive;
  • Infection of the system with computer viruses;

“Backup” (from the English backup) - backup, duplication. Backup copy - creating an additional copy of the database on a storage medium.

There are several ways to create a backup copy: on physical media, using cloud services.

External hard drive

Large data storage capacity. High acquisition cost.

Flash drive

A fairly cheap option for storing a copy of a database. Limit on the number of entries. If you frequently overwrite data, it will quickly fail.

CD

Cheap to purchase, limited recording capacity. Almost one-time data recording. Frequent disk damage.

Internet services

A good alternative to external hard drives. Relatively inexpensive cloud storage access.

If you buy an annual package for 12 months, then it will cost you 8125 rubles, you will agree that if you pay for the year at once, you get a good discount.

Analogues of "1C: Cloud Archive"

There are no analogues of this program on the market, which can be integrated into the 1C database. But there is a program with similar functionality that backs up files to the Cloud. Let's look at it a little.
